JOHN MALY  Managing Partner

John is Managing Partner of The People Fund. He provides the investment capital, as well as executive oversight. Prior to founding The People Fund, John grew his beauty supply distribution business from $2mm in sales to over $200mm in sales, employing more than 1,000 people and providing products and services to 30,000 salons. In 2007, Maly’s-West was acquired by L’Oreal USA. Prior to Maly’s-West, John was an auditor for Deloitte & Touche. John holds a BA in Accounting from Indiana University.

CHRIS McCARTY Business Development Partner

Chris is Business Development Partner for The People Fund. In this role he drives deal sourcing activities which lead to mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Prior to co-founding The People Fund Chris spent ten years as a financial advisor with John Hancock and a private wealth management firm. Before this, Chris worked for Baan, Stratacom and Cisco. Chris holds a BS in Business Accounting from The Master's College.

MATT RIDENOUR Operating Partner

Matt is Operating Partner for The People Fund. He has primary responsibility for supervising The People Fund's portfolio companies. Prior to joining The People Fund, Matt spent fifteen years in venture capital and private equity. A significant portion of that time was spent as CEO of high growth, venture backed companies. Prior to his private equity work, Matt was a consultant with Bain & Company. Matt holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in economics from Dartmouth College.
